La Gomera

La Gomera the green island of the Canary Islands in August 2010. The top of the island is covered with the oldest and largest laurel forest worldwide. Absolutely immaculate. The roads have been restored with european funds and are a pleasure to drive. Though pretty winding and narrow sometimes but they have no potholes whatsoever. The Garajonay National Park is well kept and looked after. Signs lead the hiker along designated trails which are in good condition. It only gets tough when you step up the steep slopes to reach the park from the coastal villages.
